Taking notes efficiently: wikidpad

I'm continuing my series of posts on the software I like and use everyday... this time I'll talk about wikidpad and why I make use of it.
Wikidpad is primarily a program to take notes. As a first point, it works on windows and Linux, and it is quick and easy to use.
It makes use of a wiki language, but this is very easy to learn, and you can start using it without knowing much, the toolbar and the menus will help you as needed.
Time by time, you'll learn more and you'll be even quicker in doing things, but this can really be a progressive and painless process.
When you edit a page, you can export it in HTML and from here to any other program... so for instance, I often start writing documents drafts in wikidpad, then when I realize that the document should rather be shared with colleagues, I export it in order to share it via email as a document.
Finally, the search function is very quick and handy... for instance, I used wikidpad it to record notes and so on during the lifetime of a software development project, and because of this I'm always very quick in tracing back why and when we made a particular decision...
Well you will find more interesting features in the dedicated website, so my suggestions finish here... hope you'll like this nice software!
